UnderPinned is a career-management SaaS platform for freelancers that enables users to build a portfolio, create contracts, and automate invoices and payments. The platform integrates partner services such as Digital Risks to offer open banking, self-employed insurance, and legal counsel. Launched two years ago by Albert Azis-Clauson (now 23), the startup has been offering free basic access until September to support freelancers through COVID-19 and a potential recession. In the short term the company plans to use new funding for operations and to build out its client-side portal. Its stated long-term goal is to reach 100,000 freelance users in the UK.
