Overview
UniNow provides a mobile app that gives students centralized access to information from different university IT systems automatically. The app aggregates university data to help students organize day-to-day university life. The company was co-founded as a spinoff from the University of Magdeburg by managing directors Tobias Steenweg and Stefan Wegener and is based in Magdeburg, Germany. UniNow raised €1m in funding to support expansion. The app was already being used at 10 universities. The company will use the funds to expand adoption into additional German universities, targeting up to 15 additional universities and their systems per month over the next half year. By mid-2016 UniNow expects 100 universities in Germany to be accessible via its app.
