United Dental Corporation (UDC) operates a Dental Partnership Organization (DPO) model that provides capital, technology, marketing, procurement, human resources, legal, and accounting services while allowing dentists to retain clinical autonomy. UDC cites a 98% doctor retention rate for its model in Australia, New Zealand and Canada, where the approach was pioneered. The company targets the top 10%–20% of high-performing doctors who generate roughly $2 million to $50 million or more in revenue. UDC plans to deploy new capital to support a growth target of acquiring 100 practices over the next 12 months and to serve a U.S. market it says generates more than $123 billion annually across about 200,000 dentists. To date the company has raised more than $6 million in total capital, including the recent Series B. UDC was founded by Dr. Ray Khouri, who previously launched and sold Dental Corp. in multiple markets.
