Unitive is a Woodside, Calif.-based analytics startup led by CEO and founder Laura Mather. It provides a cloud-based analytic decision-support system that automatically guides managers through the hiring decision process, reducing time-consuming meetings and focusing attention on the information that matters. The company's initial offering includes a content management system for creating and managing job postings, a resume review system, and an interview management system. Unitive completed a $7.5M Series A financing in December 2015. The company said it will use the funds to further develop the technology and increase customer support and marketing efforts. Investors in the round include Ignition Partners, Kapor Capital, Webb Investment Network, Floodgate and Correlation Ventures. Unitive develops a team-building solution built on academic research in decision-making, linguistics and human resource science. Its patent-pending technology is designed to identify, map and sidestep unconscious bias as it’s happening. The company planned a commercial launch in June 2015 and used recent financing to prepare for that rollout. Financially, Unitive closed a bridge loan from Aligned Partners (amount undisclosed) to support pre-launch activities. The company is led by Laura Mather, who previously sold Silver Tail Systems in 2012 for hundreds of millions to EMC. Unitive is based in Woodside, CA.
