Urbeez is a Brussels-based e-cargo delivery startup building a fleet of electric cargo bikes, vans and scooters to serve retail and local partners. Founded about two months before the article, the company has already signed initial partners including IKEA, supermarket chain Colruyt and Brussels’Kitchen. It aims to reassess the logistics sector by transforming distribution networks to be fully electric and improve delivery service and quality. The startup plans to roll out 100% electric delivery vehicles across Belgium in 2021, supported by a freshly secured funding round. Urbeez raised €2.5 million from investors described as specializing in logistics. The founder, Angelino Capretti, brings experience from managing Southern European operations at micro-mobility firm TIER Mobility.
