Overview
Usabilla is a Dutch-based, web-based usability testing tool that lets marketers, analysts, designers and usability experts collect visual and quantitative user feedback on websites. Groups of participants answer questions about attitude and user experience by placing points and notes on webpages, mockups, or sketches; the collected feedback and survey results are analyzed and presented visually with charts and heat maps. The company says this approach enables user-inspired design and helps improve user experience and optimize websites without slowing development cycles. Customers named in the article include Disney, Levi's and Electronic Arts. Usabilla raised $1 million in a round led by Dutch venture fund Boralis with five undisclosed investors in Europe and the U.S. The funding will be used to expand its customer base and to test new platforms such as mobile, tablets and TV.
