Userfeeds builds a platform that applies blockchain tokens to news discovery to create transparent and publicly auditable content networks and ranking algorithms. Its first product, Userfeeds Engine, lets users, developers and publishers run custom rankings to produce search results, information feeds, recommendation systems, top-10 lists, and sponsored links. The company frames token-based ranking signals as economic incentives to surface higher-quality content and to create barriers against trolling, spam and cost-free abuse. It positions the approach as enabling new business models for publishers and developers outside of advertising and subscriptions and improving organic content discovery. Userfeeds is Warsaw-based and has raised $800k in seed funding from BlueYard Capital, Fred Ehrsamh (the Coinbase co-founder) and Piotr Smolen (Dataventures). The founding team includes co-founder and CEO Maciej Olpinski, who worked for Google and YouTube in ad product and business organisations, and co-founder and CTO Greg Kapkowski, a senior software engineer with patents in metadata aggregation algorithms.
