Utel SAS is a Paris-based creator of social networking mobile applications focused on helping people meet each other. Led by CEO Nicolas Grumbach, the company has developed casual dating apps including the encounter service Fotochat. Its product lineup is centered on mobile platforms and the company highlights convergence across mobile, TV and tablets. Utel plans to use new capital to develop features and monetization tools. The company also intends to expand abroad to capture international markets. Utel recently raised €2.8m in funding to support these initiatives.
