Utsav App offers a digital platform for religious organizations and their followers to share information, book pujas online, and arrange prasad delivery to homes. The app began by digitizing Kolkata’s Durga Puja and has expanded to work with more than 30 religious organizations across India. Co-founded by Sourajit Basu, Ankita De, and Prajata Samanta in 2021, the company aims to build an online community around India’s large religious population. Utsav App raised initial funding in December 2021 from 100X.VC and angel investors including Divyanshu Tambe and Vikrant Gandhi. The recent seed funds will be used to expand operations and forge additional partnerships with religious organizations. The product focus is on serving devotional and religious needs through a localized digital experience.
