Uzaje offers industrial-scale cleaning and reuse solutions for food containers and bottles across collective and commercial catering, manufacturers, and retailers. The company operates two cleaning centres (Neuilly-sur-Marne, 2021; Avignon, 2022) and has cleaned nearly 3.5 million containers, preventing about 250 tonnes of single-use packaging waste. As an ESUS Social and Solidarity Economy company, Uzaje has generated over 40 jobs and holds certifications including B Corp and Solar Impulse. Uzaje plans to expand nationally and into Europe, with a new site planned in Strasbourg in H1 2024 and three additional cleaning centres announced for Grand Est, Région Sud, and Nouvelle-Aquitaine. On the financing side, the company completed a new €11M funding round and has previously raised €4M in January 2022; it has also run a crowdfunding campaign that raised over €600k and is working with banking partners on multi-million euro loans and receiving public grants from ADEME.
