UZE Mobility develops large digital advertising boards called UZE Ads Kits that attach to trucks and vans and display banner ads on public roads. The Ads Kits are patented E-Ink displays that interact with a data marketplace fed by situational data accumulated every second. Ads update in real time using location and weather signals to serve contextually relevant promotions (e.g., sporting-goods near a stadium or ice-cream during a heat spike). Drivers choose if and when to release their data to the marketplace, and both consumers and fleet operators can earn money via the platform. The company says this revenue helps vehicle owners and fleet managers subsidize their transition to green mobility. Founded in 2018 and based in Aachen, UZE Mobility positions itself to take outdoor advertising to a new level worldwide and calls its approach the “Google of the road.”
