Barcelona-based Valeria has developed an AI-native payroll engine that automates onboarding, payroll calculations, contract management and compliance for companies with constantly changing workforces. The software integrates directly with operational and workforce systems, resolving 94 % of client queries and eliminating manual paperwork that traditional payroll providers cannot handle. Launched in January 2025, the platform is already used by more than 100 companies that struggle with variable shifts, frequent onboarding/off-boarding and complex labour regulations. The company currently employs 18 people, largely engineers and operators drawn from firms like Uber, Getir and Glovo. Valeria’s architecture is being built from scratch to support cross-border expansion, with AI connecting directly to government systems to simplify international compliance. With fresh capital in hand, the team plans to deepen product automation, enlarge its workforce and enter additional European markets.
