Valla, founded in 2022 by Danae Shell, builds an AI-enabled platform to make employment-law support more accessible to workers. The product lets users collect evidence, generate documents (for example Tribunal claims), track issues, and purchase coaching packages where legal experts coach them through each stage. A generative‑AI engine acts as a background legal secretary—briefing coaches, taking notes, and handling admin and reminders. Since launch the company says more than 12,000 workers have successfully brought complaints and negotiated settlements through the platform. Valla plans to expand its product beyond employment law into small claims and tenancy, then broaden into other geographies, with the U.S. and Europe already under consideration. The company will use the new capital to boost marketing, build relationships with worker unions and insurers, and add more AI features to the platform.
