Valora is a mobile digital wallet native to the Celo platform that enables users to pay, send funds globally and save using cryptocurrencies. The app operates as an independent company and focuses on making crypto as easy to use as messaging. Since its public launch in February 2021, Valora has grown to more than 200,000 users with a balance and 53,000 monthly active users across over 100 countries, including Brazil. The team spun out of cLabs and brings experience in blockchain, consumer apps and fintech; cLabs helped shape Celo and the CELO asset, which trades on more than 20 exchanges. Valora plans to use new funding to further product development and create educational content to increase comfort and adoption of crypto for saving, sending and spending. Jackie Bona will lead the company as CEO.
