Valyant AI offers a voice-based conversational AI platform, “Holly,” that greets drive-thru customers, answers food questions, provides nutritional information, takes orders and integrates directly with restaurant point-of-sale systems. Holly learns from interactions to improve speed and accuracy and the company says the system can eventually support more than 30 languages. Valyant announced a partnership with Paerpay to add contactless payment and guest engagement capabilities to its drive-thru solution. The company is on track for a 300% increase in total restaurants running its drive-thru AI in 2023. Recent additional funding—bringing total capital raised to $17 million—will support deployments, adjustments and launches of new restaurant locations and brands. Valyant also plans to roll out menu-management tools, launch an “AI Assistant Manager” product and support ongoing patent infringement litigation. Valyant AI builds Holly, a deep‑neural‑network conversational voice assistant installed at restaurant drive‑thrus to take orders, upsell, and make context-aware recommendations. The system is sold as a hardware-plus-software package and improves with continued use via training on customer recordings. Valyant supplies hardware and pre-purchased 500 setups to address a cited hardware bottleneck. The company reports several customers seeing topline revenue increases of 10% or more after installation. Valyant has an exclusive licensing arrangement with Checkers & Rally’s for franchisees that choose to add a voice assistant, and more than a dozen franchisees have already deployed the system. Leadership projects deployment in as many as 500 restaurants by January and 5,000 by the end of 2023.
