Overview

Founded in 2020 by Acharya Dev and Manu Jain, Vama blends tradition with technology by streaming temple rituals, providing on-demand astrology consultations, and selling authentic spiritual products through its Vama Mall. Temple services contribute roughly 70% of revenue, while astrology and Vama Mall account for the rest. The company doubled its revenue in FY24 to Rs 19.5 crore and expects to double again in FY25, all while maintaining contribution margins above 10% and targeting EBITDA profitability. More than 150,000 users have already transacted on the platform, and Vama aims to reach 1 million users and expand its network of partnered temples from 250 to 500 within two years. Future plans include launching additional service categories, entering offline spiritual travel, and tailoring offerings for the NRI market as it pursues international expansion. Vama competes with players such as AppsForBharat, DevDham, Utsav App, Sutradhar, and Ghar Mandir.
