Vanbex Group, based in Vancouver, develops blockchain-powered products including Etherparty, a smart-contract creator that enables users with no programming knowledge to create self-executing digital agreements. The company is led by CEO Kevin Hobbs and recently appointed executive chairman Derek Spratt, with Steven Lee as CFO and Brian Onn as senior blockchain developer. Vanbex closed a C$500,000 (US$365,474) seed round of financing. Backers named in the round include Boris Mann and Adrian Jonklaas, co-founders of Frontier Foundry Corp. The company will use the proceeds to accelerate development of its Etherparty platform.
