Overview

Vanta is an AI-powered trust management platform that began in 2018 by helping startups automate SOC 2 and today provides continuous, automated verification across security and compliance controls. The product offers zero-touch verification, vendor risk management, access reviews, Trust Centers, Policy Builder, an AI Agent, and AI-powered Questionnaire Automation to speed evidence collection and reviews. Vanta serves over 12,000 companies in 58 countries, monitors 200 million resources, and records 10 million Trust Center views; it reports AI assessments completed up to 81% faster and IDC-measured customer ROI and productivity gains. The company recently acquired Riskey and has launched features such as Vanta for Marketplaces and expanded support for FedRAMP, CMMC, and NIST 800-53. Vanta has grown to 1,000+ employees with offices in Dublin, London, New York, San Francisco and Sydney. Vanta provides a trust management platform that automates security and compliance workflows, initially focused on certifications like ISO 27001, HIPAA and SOC 2. The company has expanded beyond automated compliance toward broader "trust" features, including trust centers, real-time security status pages, questionnaire automation and building integrations into existing security tools. Vanta has built roughly 200 integrations in-house and reports another ~100 built by customers. It has launched AI products and is increasing use of large language models, with its questionnaire automation showing about 80% of answers immediately accepted by human reviewers. Financially, Vanta surpassed $100M in ARR for the financial year ending in January, serves over 8,000 customers, and employs about 500 people; roughly a quarter of customers are outside the U.S. The company is focused on moving upmarket and expanding its global presence while continuing to build AI-driven features and some of its own security tooling. Vanta provides a compliance automation platform that collects data from customers’ SaaS apps and cloud stacks, runs analyses to surface potential security threats, and offers workflows and controls to meet standards like HIPAA and GDPR. Its platform enables auditors to complete audits within Vanta and delivers alerts and guidance via email and apps like Slack. The company says each new customer benefits from aggregated, data-driven insights drawn from thousands of prior customers. Vanta serves more than 4,000 organizations, including Quora, Modern Treasury and Autodesk, and employs over 350 people. CEO Christina Cacioppo founded the company in 2016 and says revenue has grown “significantly faster” than its valuation; she also said the company bootstrapped to $10M ARR before raising outside capital. The new funding will be used to support customer acquisition, product R&D and go-to-market efforts. Vanta offers a platform that automates much of the manual work involved in achieving and maintaining cybersecurity compliance, with dozens of integrations that evaluate application configurations against standards. The product continuously monitors systems to surface compliance issues, highlights remediation steps, and simplifies creation of security reports. Vanta says its platform can reduce the manual effort of security audits by up to 90%. The company supports SOC 2, ISO 27001 and helps with industry-specific data-protection and privacy regulations such as GDPR. After its prior funding round last May Vanta reported more than $10 million in annual recurring revenue and over 1,000 customers; the company now says its platform is used by more than 3,000 organizations. Vanta plans to use the new proceeds to further enhance its compliance and cybersecurity capabilities. Vanta provides a platform that automates security monitoring and helps companies prepare for SOC 2, ISO 27001, and HIPAA certifications. The platform connects to services including Google Cloud Platform, Amazon Web Services, GitHub, Okta, and Slack. Founded in 2017 and led by CEO Christina Cacioppo, Vanta serves nearly 1,000 companies, including Clubhouse, Lattice, Calm, Loom, Notion, and UserTesting. In two and a half years the company has surpassed $10 million in annual recurring revenue. Vanta plans to use the new funding to meet customer demand, launch new products, and open a second office in New York.
