Vasorum is a Dublin-based medical device company that develops arterial closure devices. Its core product, the CELT Arterial Closure Device, is a Class III, patented platform designed to close femoral artery punctures and was approved by the FDA in 2017. The CELT ACD has been used in over 70,000 patients to date. Vasorum recently secured a €6m equity investment from BGF Ireland. The company plans to use the funding to accelerate commercial roll-out of the CELT device in the United States and to finance new product development. Advisers on the transaction included external legal, financial, intellectual property and tax counsel supporting both BGF and Vasorum.
