Overview
Vässla is a Swedish micro-mobility company that designs and sells e-scooters and e-bikes across the Nordics, Germany, Spain and the Netherlands. Its Vässla Bike features a 250–450W rear-hub motor, 20–25 km/h top speed, approximately 40 km battery range, and a vehicle weight of 21.5 kg plus a 3.5 kg portable battery designed in-house. Founded in 2017 by Rickard Bröms with CTO Prof. Uwe Hager, the company recently released the Vässla Bike in Scandinavia. Vässla plans to launch a Vässla Club sharing app and club rental platform with fleet-management capabilities and three offerings: monthly subscriptions for consumers, weekly subscriptions for delivery drivers, and hourly rentals for enterprises. Pilot schemes are planned in Berlin, Vienna, Hamburg and Madrid, and the company aims to expand into the UK pending e-scooter legislation expected in early 2022. The company raised $11M in funding to support the launch of its new e-bikes and club rental platform.
