Vatic Health

4th Floor 95 Gresham Street, London, EC2V 7AB, United Kingdom

Overview

Vatic builds the KnowNow saliva-only rapid antigen test that detects infectious SARS-CoV-2 by mimicking the surface of a human cell and targeting the virus spike. The test takes fewer than 15 minutes, is CE marked for use in the UK, and pairs with an app that produces encrypted QR ‘Passport’ codes to share at-home results securely. Vatic says its assay is more accurate than lateral flow tests, aiming to identify currently infectious people rather than residual non-infectious positives, and it claims robustness to viral mutations. The company is conducting U.S. clinical trials to pursue Emergency Use Authorization from the FDA and plans to extend the platform to detect other infectious viruses. Founded in 2019, Vatic’s founders met at Entrepreneur First and the company has received grant support from the Oxford Foundry / University of Oxford and Innovate UK. Vatic has raised $6.37 million to deliver its at-home tests and support rollout of KnowNow in the UK and internationally.
