Vemba
480 University Ave, Toronto, Ontario, M5G, Canada
Overview
Vemba offers a player-agnostic technology solution for video distribution that lets publishers integrate third-party video content and advertising within their editorial process and existing video workflow. The platform enables producers to maintain control of their content while allowing publishers to feature original and complementary video without adjusting for third-party players or advertising restrictions. In October 2017 the company raised $6M in a Series A-1 round. Vemba intends to use the funds to expand its technology offering for content owners and publishers and to continue rolling out the platform to large media companies. The company is led by Founder and CTO Norbert Horvath and CEO Garrick Tiplady and has offices in New York, Los Angeles and Toronto. Vemba provides a platform that enables content publishers to directly control all components of video distribution, ingestion and monetization. Producers use Vemba to manage direct syndication deals with other publishers or distribute to a wide network without losing control over content usage and monetization. Since launching in 2015, the company has partnered with over 85 media company partners, including VICE, Condé Nast and Tribune. The company plans product rollouts of additional social platforms, OTT technology and streaming video. Vemba will also expand its offices in Toronto, Los Angeles and New York City. Garrick Tiplady is CEO.
