Venn Life Sciences provides clinical trial services to companies in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical device sectors. The company completed an over $3M funding round from a group of private investors. Proceeds are intended to accelerate growth through acquisitions, organic growth and preferred partner selection. As part of this strategy, Venn opened new offices in Mexico and Australia at the end of 2009. It also acquired Dutch CRO UpToYou, extending its coverage to Belgium, Luxembourg and the Netherlands. The expansion is said to provide access to additional geographic markets, therapeutic indications and senior-level clinical trial management experience.
