Venn
325 Front Street West, 2nd Floor, Toronto, Ontario, M5V 2Y1, Canada
Overview
Venn provides Canadian small- and medium-sized businesses with a unified financial stack that includes multi-currency and global accounts, spend management, bank transfers, foreign-exchange services, accounting automation, and high-yield investment products such as GICs. Founded three years ago by former Revolut employees Ahmed Shafik and Saud Aziz, the Toronto-based company rebranded from Vault to Venn to reflect its broadened product scope. Since its commercial launch in 2023, the platform has onboarded more than 4,000 business customers and is beginning to move up-market through partnerships with firms such as Sherpa, MedEssist, and Alan. By consolidating fragmented financial tools, Venn aims to become the default banking hub for Canadian enterprises, offering faster, more flexible, and lower-fee alternatives to legacy banks. The company’s product-first approach enables rapid feature releases and has begun to capture share from incumbents and venture-backed competitors alike. Proceeds from its latest funding will be used to deepen existing features and expand horizontally to deliver an even more comprehensive financial stack.
