Overview
VenomAid Diagnostics has developed a portable in vitro diagnostic test that uses a small amount of patient blood to quickly identify the type of snake venom in the bloodstream. The test is designed to enable healthcare workers to rapidly and accurately diagnose snakebites so they can administer appropriate treatment, reducing time to treatment and the risk of death or permanent disability. Led by CEO Jonas Arnold Jürgensen, the company says its technology could transform snakebite management and bring affordable diagnostics to victims worldwide. The company intends to use the funds to expand operations and development efforts. VenomAid is gearing up for clinical pilots in Brazil and plans to initiate manufacturing of its rapid tests as it moves closer to market. The company is headquartered in Copenhagen, Denmark.
