Vensum Power
Otakaari 5, Espoo, 02150, Finland
Overview
Vensum develops software-controlled power converters that improve conversion efficiency (reducing losses from roughly 7–10% to 3–5%) and can deliver up to three times more power from the same footprint. The technology can yield the same power output in packages up to 65% smaller and is the result of long-term, focused R&D. Vensum highlights faster switching speeds, lower energy losses, better scalability and reliability, longer service life, and significantly smaller device size. Their solution targets applications including electric vehicle charging stations, energy storage, DC microgrids, and wind and solar power systems. The company says the improved efficiency can save over 50% of wasted energy in conversion. With the new funding, Vensum plans to advance technology development, testing, pilot projects, and to expand research and engineering resources.
