The company has developed the Venus A‑Valve, a transcatheter aortic valve with independent intellectual property that meets China Food and Drug Administration clinical requirements. Venus Medtech planned to start patient enrollment for an EU approval–oriented clinical research program in the first half of 2016. The company says the investment will support R&D and commercialization of its cardiac valve products.
