Verismo Networks is a Mountain View, California-based Internet TV platform offering the high-definition VuNow Internet TV platform. VuNow allows MSOs, ISPs and telcos to deliver traditional linear channels combined with value-added internet services such as VoIP and social networking applications over the Internet to their subscribers. The platform uses the Internet as a distribution method, allowing service providers to expand and reach new global markets with minimal investment in their infrastructure. The company operates offices in Bangalore, India. Verismo closed $17m in financing. The financing round was led by Intel Capital, with participation from Verismo’s existing seed investors.
