Versa has built the Versa Media Network and a product called Featured Perspectives that inserts sponsored op-eds or commentary alongside related news articles. Its technology analyzes articles as they are published, flags pieces relevant to signed-up organizations, and alerts contributors to submit timely perspectives. The company says the human submission process yields an average response time under an hour, and publishers retain editorial control and can remove content at will while applying their own content guidelines. Early deployments include placements on publishers such as The Philadelphia Inquirer and RealClearPolitics, and initial use cases focused on political content. With the product moving out of beta, Versa plans to expand its publisher network and broaden use beyond politics. The company has raised seed funding totaling $2 million to support this growth.
