Overview
VersaMe builds the Starling, an education wearable designed for children ages 0–4 that tracks words spoken and heard during early development to increase verbal engagement. The Starling syncs with a cell phone app and offers activities, encouragement and prompts to help motivate parents. The company has announced the Starling’s availability for pre-order at $149, with shipping slated for April 2016. VersaMe closed a $2.5M seed funding round and named Learn Capital, the Stanford-StartX Fund and the family offices of Vincent Viola, Doug Cifu and Richard Dai among its backers. The company was co-founded by brothers Chris and Jon Boggiano and Nicki Boyd.
