Versatile Natures develops a patent-pending platform called CraneView™ that mounts IoT sensors under crane hooks to continuously collect and analyze construction-site data, integrating with BIM, ERP and project-management systems. The company’s full-stack hardware and software solution aims to provide actionable insights on materials, redundancies, construction progress and crane utilization to increase efficiency and safety. Its technology is already deployed on construction sites across multiple U.S. cities, and the product is positioned as non-intrusive and automated. The startup recently relocated its headquarters from Tel Aviv to San Francisco while most of its engineering team remains in Israel and previously operated out of Autodesk’s Build Space in Tel Aviv. Financially, Versatile Natures raised $5.5 million in a seed round and had earlier raised $3 million from investors including Root Ventures, Tidhar, URBAN-X, Urban Us and angel investors. The company plans to use the new capital to hire and scale across North America while continuing to refine and expand features based on customer feedback.
