Overview
Verseau Therapeutics is a biotechnology company creating first-in-class macrophage checkpoint modulators to treat cancer and immune/inflammatory diseases. The company focuses on therapies that reprogram macrophages to shift tumors from an immunosuppressive to a pro-inflammatory state. Verseau’s lead program targets PSGL-1 and is designed to reprogram tumor-associated macrophages, activate T cells, and recruit other immune cells to generate an antitumor response. The company licensed an siRNA lipid-nanoparticle delivery technology from the MIT labs of co-founders Dan Anderson and Bob Langer and uses an all‑human translational platform to discover and validate targets. Verseau has validated more than two dozen targets amenable to multiple modalities, including monoclonal antibodies, and is building a pipeline of MCM therapies. It has also appointed George Golumbeski as Chairman and entered a strategic collaboration with 3SBio to commercialize select MCM antibodies in Greater China while retaining global rights.
