Versed builds a generative-AI platform that lets storytellers create fully 3D role-playing games from text prompts, using LLMs, procedural generation, and an in-house asset library. The product maps narrative descriptions to characters and locations and uses the Unity engine for gameplay, initially targeting Mac and PC. The company currently uses OpenAI's GPT-4 but has architected its system to swap in other LLMs; it pairs LLM summarization with procedural generation and internal art assets created by its team. Versed is manually building its own asset library with in-house artists and plans to train text-to-3D models over time to generate missing assets while protecting IP.
