Verta
405 El Camino Real, Suite 441, Menlo Park, California, 94025, United States
Overview
Verta grew out of Manasi Vartak’s open-source ModelDB project at MIT CSAIL to provide a product that not only tracks model versions but also operationalizes them for production. The platform monitors model validity and can send alarms when model performance changes unexpectedly. Verta emphasizes interoperability with existing ML tooling, including Amazon SageMaker and Kubeflow, so customers can mix and match components. The company emerged from stealth after raising a $10M Series A and already has companies using the platform to deploy models faster. At the time of the article Verta had 9 employees and plans to grow to 15 this year and then double the team the following year. The founder is pursuing a 50/50 gender split and is working with Sweat Equity Ventures to recruit diverse candidates.
