Vertoe is an on-demand short-term storage service that allows consumers to book vetted local businesses to store luggage via its website or mobile app. Users enter an address and preferred drop-off and pick-up times to see nearby locations; bags are sealed with a uniquely coded tamper-proof seal. Vertoe covers up to $3,000 in damaged or lost goods per booking. Pricing starts at $5.95 per day with discounts for weekly or monthly rentals. The service is available in Boston, Philadelphia and Washington DC, and over the past 18 months the company has partnered with hundreds of small businesses and stored more than 70,000 bags. Vertoe plans to use the funding to expand into new markets; it was founded in late 2016 by Sid Khattri and Neha Kesarwani and is a Techstars NYC Winter 2018 program graduate.
