Launched in 2022 by founder and CEO Davonne Reaves, Vesterr operates an SEC-regulated online portal that democratizes access to commercial real estate, particularly hotels and related assets. The platform accepts both accredited and non-accredited investors, lowering typical investment minimums and widening participation far beyond traditional high-net-worth circles. Since going live, Vesterr has raised more than $2.7 million from its user base, channeling that capital into two hotel acquisitions, a hotel development in Puerto Rico, a car-wash development, and a specialized hotel investment fund. Reaves’ mission is to increase Black ownership in an industry where fewer than 1 percent of U.S. hotels are Black-owned. In 2025 she hosted the inaugural VesterrCon at Howard University, a live pitch event that attracted corporate support from Marriott and B Hospitality and generated six-figure commitments on the spot. The company plans to continue adding new real-estate offerings and in-person investor events to accelerate capital formation and broaden its community of investors. Vesterr’s early traction highlights both social-impact resonance and a proof-of-concept for retail investment in mid-scale commercial assets.
