Vhoto offers an iPhone app that intelligently scans videos and clips out the best photographic moments using computer vision and machine learning. The product lets users shoot video continuously while the app presents a series of candidate photos to choose from. The company debuted its app one month ago and has seen more than 200,000 downloads in that first month. Vhoto recently closed an additional $750,000 in funding, bringing total financing to $3.1 million. The 13-person startup was founded by CEO Noah Heller with co‑founders Hugh Crean and Jay Bartot; Heller previously worked at Microsoft Xbox and Activision. The company is described as a Seattle startup that was started two years ago in Boston.
