Via builds a mobile-native commerce layer that clones merchant websites into native iOS/Android apps and enables shopping via messaging apps and push/in-app chat. It integrates with platforms like Shopify, BigCommerce and WooCommerce to let customers swipe through catalogs, start returns, and interact with brands. Via charges per interaction (SMS, voice minute, video, GIF) rather than a traditional subscription. The company says its average customer sees a 15x return on investment and that 190 brands are using the service.
