VibeDeck is a web service that enables music artists to sell digital wares directly to fans and connects to PayPal for payments. The platform provides customizable landing pages with artist info, images, an embeddable single integrated player that supports drag-and-drop reordering, visual customization, and exportable sales data as CSV. Launched in beta last month, VibeDeck is positioned as a low-cost eCommerce resource for small-to-medium bands and aims to maximize artist profit margins and deepen fan relationships. The service is currently free and the company says it plans to remain free for the foreseeable future while exploring monetization options, excluding ads. Future plans mentioned include Facebook and SoundCloud integration and building a player widget for artists to embed on their own sites. Founder and CEO Lior Shamir said the company will use the seed funding to ramp up hiring, expand marketing, and add functionality to the product.
