Vibrato Medical has developed the first wearable therapeutic ultrasound device for noninvasive, outpatient treatment of PAD and CLI. The device is designed to promote vasodilation, collateral vessel growth and angiogenesis to restore perfusion and can be applied without a skin incision for at‑home daily treatments. Founded by Babak Nazer MD and Bobak Azamian MD, PhD, the technology is based on decades of ultrasound research and includes patient compliance monitoring. The company plans to use its recently announced funding to run a pilot clinical study, design and build a second‑generation device, and advance its intellectual property. Financially, Vibrato closed a $4M Series A and also received a $1.5M NIH grant to support clinical and development activities. Vibrato is based in Irvine, California and highlights leadership experience in medical device development and support from clinical leaders in the PAD field.
