Overview
Vicebio develops vaccines for life‑threatening respiratory viral infections using its proprietary Molecular Clamp technology, which stabilises viral glycoproteins in a prefusion conformation to elicit strong immune responses. The platform is applicable to RSV, hMPV, parainfluenza, influenza and coronaviruses and enables manufacture of ready‑to‑use prefilled‑syringe vaccines. The company has initiated a Phase I clinical study of VXB‑241, a bivalent RSV/hMPV vaccine, with initial clinical readouts expected mid‑2025. Vicebio also plans to advance VXB‑251, a trivalent vaccine targeting RSV, hMPV and PIV3, as part of its multivalent pipeline. The company acquired rights to the Molecular Clamp technology via a license from UniQuest and the technology was developed at The University of Queensland. The recent financing will accelerate development and clinical advancement of its multivalent respiratory vaccine programs.
