Vidmind sells a turnkey, white-label video streaming platform that includes both set-top boxes and cloud-delivered video-as-a-service capabilities, enabling partners to launch OTT and pay-TV services. The company positions its offering as allowing new television providers to offer features and capabilities that exceed traditional cable or satellite. Vidmind can deliver services via the cloud but retains a hardware set-top-box use case for mainstream consumers. Its technology supports free-to-air channels, video-on-demand premium channels and in-video applications and games when integrated by partners. The CEO, Danny Peled, says the company is targeting evolving markets in Asia, Europe and South America rather than the saturated U.S. market. Vidmind began work on the technology that became the product in 2010.
