Overview

Vidyard builds AI-powered video messaging, video hosting, sales prospecting, and buyer engagement tools used by sales and marketing teams. The company recently introduced hyper-realistic AI Avatars that replicate a user’s look and voice to generate personalized videos at scale. Avatars can be created from a two-minute sample video, reused across messages, and integrated with Vidyard Templates, analytics, CTAs, and major CRMs. The feature supports scripts in 29 languages and is available on the platform’s Business Plan. Vidyard says more than 250,000 companies use its platform. The company also announced funding to accelerate innovation and adoption as it moves users into the AI era. Vidyard provides an online platform that helps businesses create, host, optimize, and measure video content, including in-video calls-to-action, forms, analytics, and personalized messaging. The company offers tools such as the Vidyard GoVideo messaging and screen-recording app and has rolled out free options to broaden access. Its customer base includes Honeywell, LinkedIn, Citibank, and Sharp, and it announced in 2018 that it powers HubSpot's video solution. Vidyard graduated from Y Combinator and was formerly known as Redwoods Media. Financially, the company has raised more than $60 million to date, including a $1.65 million seed in 2011 and a $6 million Series A in 2013. Management says it is focused on product development, global expansion, and M&A as part of its growth strategy. Vidyard offers tools for tracking viewer data, connecting that data to existing marketing and sales systems, and delivering personalized video content. The company's product set is aimed at improving video marketing and sales by tapping into viewers' digital body language. Customers include Honeywell, Lenovo, LinkedIn and MongoDB. Vidyard was incubated by Y Combinator. The company says it will use new funding to develop products that help businesses expand their use of video for customer engagement. Vidyard has now raised more than $60 million in total. Vidyard provides a platform that lets customers add video to their websites quickly and access real-time analytics, syndicate content to social networks and YouTube, create calls to action, optimize search, capture leads and brand player skins from one place. The company recently launched Vidyard Video Hubs for custom‑branded video channels and Vidyard Studio to enable marketing and sales teams to create, share and track custom videos. Vidyard integrates with key marketing automation and CRM tools including Salesforce, Eloqua, Marketo, Adobe Marketing Cloud and Act-On. Customers include Act-On, Cetera Financial Group, Deltek, Dynatrace, Fiberlink (an IBM company), Honeywell, Intralinks, Square and Taulia. Led by Co‑Founder and CEO Michael Litt, the company plans to use new funding to accelerate adoption of its technology and expand its product offerings. The business announced an $18M Series B in January 2015. Vidyard, a Y Combinator alumnus, sells a video marketing platform that includes a dedicated video player and embedded analytics to help businesses manage, measure and optimize video content. The company began as a content production house making explainer videos before pivoting to build what it calls a 'YouTube for businesses.' Its product integrates with third‑party marketing automation platforms such as Eloqua and HubSpot, and customers range from SMBs to Fortune 500 companies including Deltek, Ceridian, RapGenius, The Juno Awards, FIS Global and Eloqua. Vidyard plans to expand integrations with more third‑party marketing products and invest in product development to enhance its feature set. From a financial perspective, the company said January 2013 outpaced the entire calendar year 2012, though it did not disclose specific revenue figures. Part of the new funding will be used to double the engineering and product team and expand to roughly 10,000 square feet of new workspace to meet technical and scaling challenges.
