3 Hanechoshet St, Building B, 7th floor, Tel Aviv, 6971068, Israel
Overview
Viewbix provides a customizable player that wraps existing videos so advertisers can add branding, follow/signup/buy buttons, and capture contact information while offering detailed viewer analytics. The product works on Facebook and Twitter and is designed to let advertisers convert existing videos into interactive ads in a few steps. Co-founder and CEO Jonathan Stefansky said the combination of targeting, engagement and analytics produces results he described as "literally 20x" what generic preroll delivers. Viewbix shows examples such as a Cuisinart YouTube video wrapped in a branded player to drive follows, email signups and purchases. The company says its interactions can be used alongside other custom-video services rather than replacing them. Viewbix is Israel-based and plans to open a New York sales office soon; it has raised a total of $6 million to date. Viewbix builds interactive video players that let users augment existing YouTube, Vimeo and Facebook videos with apps and overlays such as eBay listings, Skype buttons, and Twitter feeds. The platform allows customization of player colors, size and calls to action and supports adding music, extra videos, and photos from Facebook, Flickr and Picasa. Key small-business features highlighted include coupons, Twitter feeds, eBay auctions and Skype integration. Created players can be embedded anywhere, display inline on Facebook, and render in HTML5 on iOS and Android devices. Viewbix offers a premium tier priced at $19.95/month and showcased a demo at TechCrunch Disrupt, targeting SMBs that want easy interactive video solutions. The company recently closed a $2M Series A round, providing fresh capital to expand its offering.
