VillageVines offers a membership service that provides access to a curated selection of upscale restaurants and lets members book reservations online. Members receive discreet discounts—generally about 30% off the entire meal, including drinks—that are applied to their bills without coupons. The service operates in New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles and other major U.S. cities. The company reported it generated over $500,000 of sales for restaurant partners in December 2010. VillageVines said it will use the investment to scale operations across the country, hire key staff, increase marketing efforts and establish more affiliate agreements.
