Viloc is an Antwerp-based startup that offers an inventory management platform for construction tools and equipment. The platform collects location data via a transmitter attached to each tool to help contractors track assets. It is currently aimed at construction companies in Belgium and the Netherlands. The company says that without such systems 40% of tools are never used, 20% are incorrectly accounted for, and 10% are stolen annually. Viloc was founded by Tim Gestels in 2010. The company has raised €2.5 million, primarily from Dutch telecom company KPN.
