Overview

Vindex is a NYC-based global esports infrastructure platform that provides proprietary broadcast technology and competition-management software and services to game publishers, esports leagues and teams. It was founded by Mike Sepso and Sundance DiGiovanni (co-founders of Major League Gaming) alongside Bryan Binder and Jason Garmise. The company launched with initial funding of $60M and employs more than 100 people. Concurrent with the funding announcement Vindex acquired Next Generation Esports (NGE) and launched Esports Engine to expand its production and publisher partnerships. Esports Engine is based in Columbus, OH and was co-founded by Adam Apicella; NGE is based in Burbank, CA. Vindex says it will leverage its team, proprietary technology and software to equip partners to scale to a mainstream global audience; its board includes Steve Bornstein and Joel Greenblatt.
