Vini Mini develops nutritional products and supplements that introduce allergens to babies in a healthy, simple and safe manner. The company has created peanut, hazelnut, cashew nut and walnut Startkits, Follow-up kits and snacks tailored to a baby’s risk profile. It targets the five million babies born each year in Europe and cites research that around 80% of food allergies can be prevented by early and repeated exposure. Vini Mini raised a €500k seed round and recently secured a €100k investment from Antler after winning the FEM-START Up Awards 2023. The new funding will be used to expand distribution into new markets and to make key strategic hires in sales and marketing. Co-founders Jozien Boersma and Laurie Lancee bring over 15 years’ experience in finance, marketing and sales at consumer brands including Heineken and Danone, and Irene Groenink will join as a strategic advisor. Vini Mini develops an infant nutrition product aimed at simplifying and improving allergen introduction during the first 1,000 days of a newborn’s life. The company provides a solution designed to make the allergen introduction process easier, healthier, and safer for parents. It was founded by Laurie Lancee, who co-leads the business with co-founder Jozien Boersma. An advisory board adds medical expertise and the company has partners positioned to support its offerings. As winner of the FEM-START Up Awards 2023, Vini Mini received a €100,000 investment from Antler to further develop and scale its solution. The startup is Amsterdam-based and is positioning itself to become a player in preventive child health care.
