Vint is a fintech platform that creates and sells shares in curated alcohol collections by researching, acquiring and assembling specific lots and placing them in professional storage. Founders include CEO Nick King, an investor and finance expert, and cofounder Patrick Sanders, an IT specialist; they built Vint as a fintech platform and spent the first eight months obtaining the ability to launch SEC‑certified alcohol collections. The platform’s process involves market research, purchasing positions, creating certified collections, determining total and per‑share valuations, and storing assets for one to ten years before selling them wholesale or in parts. Vint began last year with $1.7M in capital and has reported a 28.3% profit on amounts exited from assets. The company recently closed a $5M seed fundraising round. Vint has hired a specialist with a master’s in wine sciences and competes with firms such as Cavissima, Cult Wine Investment, iDealWine, Vinovest and U'Wine; market context cited Noble & Co showing single‑malt Scotch up more than 20% this year. Vint is the first SEC-qualified, fully transparent platform that offers expertly curated, thematic collections of fine wine and spirits as investable securities to accredited and non-accredited investors. The company enables low-entry investments with shares starting at $25 and no annual fees, and collections are stored, insured, and managed by certified wine experts. Vint completed SEC qualification in 2021 and since launching in 2019 has released multiple collections, reporting nearly every collection sold out within less than 48 hours of public release. The platform recently launched its 11th collection—a $137K Domaine de la Romanée-Conti offering with a $25 buy-in—demonstrating strong demand. Vint plans to use new financing to accelerate growth, expand its customer base, and further democratize the wine and spirits investment market.
