c/Campoamor 28, Oviedo, Asturias, 33001, Spain
Overview
Virtway operates an immersive 3D virtual platform that lets users choose avatars to present, talk, and network in real time for conferences, fairs, training and remote learning. The platform runs on an in-house 3D engine and is accessible via computers and iOS and Android mobile devices. It supports an unlimited number of connections and up to 500 avatars in the same virtual room, with advanced 3D VoIP for realistic voice interactions. Events on the platform cost between £1,000 and £10,000 depending on size, and customers have included AstraZeneca, Accenture, Everis and Manpower. Founded in 2014 in Oviedo by Jose Antonio Tejedor, Virtway says its product expands reach while reducing travel-related carbon footprint and provides detailed audience participation data. The company plans to use recent funding to improve user experience and expand its footprint outside Spain, beginning with a launch in the UK.
